Reviews

Die Rheinpfalz vom 31.05.2005
"...Maybe adding a solo sonata in this Matinee with the principal viola Marina Kuperman from St. Petersburg was artistically and musically far beyond the program of the concert...
The interpretation of the viola player was exemplary in sonic expression, thematic creativity and also coherence and naturalness of transitions between and within the movements. The version with viola and guitar emphasized the chamber-musical intimacy, the lyrical melodiousness even more and was the real attraction of this Matinee."

Francesco Corti, Conductor, Scottish Opera's Music Director "...a warm and generous viola sound and an excellent bow technique..."

"Das Orchester" 1/06 "...The fact that in all desks music is performed accurately consistently, with precise formation of all melodic details is self-evident and is just the special brand feature of this successful ensemble. Beside the called above also played Julia Goerge and Silke Huba (violin), Marina Kuperman and Johannes Pardall (viola). This string player's ensemble played completely very homogeneous, subtly, dynamically and agogically well coordinated and really uniformly in the phrasing and accentuation..."

"Das Orchester" 6/06 "...Besides, the string quintet with Julia Goerge, Hayk Sahakyan (both violins), Marina Kuperman (viola), Sebastian Schmid (violoncello) and Matthias Scholz (contrabass) not only kept the dynamic balance with the wind group, but their timbres blended in perfect unity. The cound was rich and full especially in the key movements. The ensemble performed the piece elegantly and without any unnecessary force, thus avoiding tension in technically complex parts and passages with individual charm..."
